Ingredients (for ~14 cookies)

120g of softened butter

150g of brown sugar

1 egg

1 to 2 vanilla pods from Madagascar

200 g of flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 pinch of salt

150g of chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (dark, milk or mixed)
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. -
Cream the butter and sugar.
Whisk the softened butter and brown sugar until you obtain a creamy texture. -
Add the egg and vanilla.
Mix until homogeneous. -
Add the dry ingredients.
Incorporate:-

Mix without overworking the dough.

Mix briefly. -
Form balls of dough.
Make balls of about 30–40 g and space them well apart (they will spread). -
Cooking time: 10–12 minutes.
